Leaps and Bounds Ahead

Leased Lines, Microwave and Wireless Solutions

Leased Lines

Internet access is a vital part of modern enterprise communications. Leapfrog can help your organisation obtain fast, secure and reliable access to the Internet, however and whenever you need it.

Leased Lines

Leased line solutions are the next generation in business class connectivity offering speeds of 1Mbps up to 1Gbps. Leased Lines are a scalable, reliable and secure connectivity solution that provides extra flexibility to growing businesses. A leased line is ideal if you need consistently high connectivity speeds with minimal downtime, need to transfer sensitive data quickly from site to site or over the Internet or have high upload and download bandwidth requirements.

Prices are subject to distance from customer premises to nearest Point of Presence (POP). A pre-installation survey will be required.

Unlike most broadband services, leased lines do not rely on complex packet networking, so they tend to be simple, reliable and highly predictable in terms of performance.

Ideal if...
  • Your site needs constant high capacity access to the internet or a Managed IPVPN network.
  • You need excellent up time and fix time SLAs.
  • Internet access is critical to your business.
  • You have a head office supporting a number of branch sites where up time is critical.
  • You need a good degree of control over IT network traffic and performance planning.
Business Benefits
  • Scalable: connection speeds available from 2Mbps up to 1Gbps.
  • Uncontended: your own dedicated connection with guaranteed bandwidth and predictable high performance.
  • Control: management reports allow you to monitor the performance of your connection.
  • Flexibility: a reliable and dedicated connection, with the flexibility of fixed and tiered solutions, to meet your changing needs; so that you only pay for what you need – and can increase capacity at any time without making disruptive physical changes to your IT network.
  • Support: an enhanced SLA ensures your business critical applications receive 24/7 support. Unlike broadband services, leased lines offer a far greater degree of up time and generally attract 4-5 hour fix-time SLAs as standard.

Microwave and Wireless Solutions

Leapfrog specialises in providing wireless leased lines as an alternative to fibre-based leased lines.

With our strategic partnerships, Leapfrog has access the most powerful IP Networks in the UK which is 100% independent of BT or any other incumbent provider.

Wireless (radio and microwave) technologies are extensively used by major telecom suppliers to provide mission-critical connectivity. Leapfrog deploys wireless equipment as dedicated last mile solutions with no contention (no sharing of bandwidth). The result is a dedicated connection that easily supports mission critical, latency dependent applications.

With a Leapfrog microwave solution your route to the Internet is predictable and faster than any other ISP that is dependent on BT for last mile delivery. Any Internet service based upon third party (e.g BT) infrastructure supports lay off into the internet that is non-deterministic. As a result, response times and performance consistently exceed the quality provided by other so-called independent ISPs.

Being connected to three of the global top five Tier 1 providers ensures unparalleled performance, diversity and quality for all Leapfrog customers and their mission critical applications and users.

The network utilises IP transit from three of the world's top five transit providers (Level3, Global Crossing, and Cogent) as well as a number of private peering sessions and private interconnects. The network is monitored in house 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every single component of the network including CPE equipment is polled each second according to several criteria to monitor uptime
